Serving clients throughout New York City, we approach each project as a collaborative process, guiding it from concept development through construction.
Our designs are informed by real-world experience, regulatory knowledge, and a strong respect for budget allowing us to deliver solutions that are purposeful, efficient, and enduring.
We believe good design is not just how a space looks, but how it performs, how it is built, and how it supports the people who use it. By staying closely involved at every stage, we ensure that design vision is carried through with precision, integrity, and attention to detail resulting in projects that are cohesive, buildable, and true to the original intent.

THE FOUNDER
Bruno A. Genari, RA
New York State Licensed Architect
Bruno Genari is a New York State Licensed Architect known for his hands-on, start-to-finish involvement on every project. Unlike many architects, Bruno works directly with his clients from the initial concept through completion, creating a collaborative process where clients feel informed, comfortable, and confident at every stage.
With an Associate’s Degree in Construction Management and a Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture, Bruno bridges the gap between design vision, construction execution, and regulatory compliance. His background allows him to deliver designs that are not only thoughtful and functional, but also buildable, approvable, and cost-conscious.
Bruno brings over 25 years of construction experience and 10 years as a city inspector, providing a practical understanding of how projects are reviewed, built, and approved. His experience includes residential and commercial work such as apartment conversions, ADA-compliant spaces, historic façade preservation, structural renovations, and complex construction coordination. He has also served as Owner’s Representative, guiding clients through budgeting, contractor selection, and scheduling.
MEET THE TEAM
Brian Keith Soto
Brian joins Nova BG Architecture Studio as a licensed architect in New York State and is an active member of the American Institute of Architects (AIA) and the National Council of Architectural Registration Boards (NCARB). Since 2002, Brian has brought exceptional design and technical expertise to a wide range of projects, making him a valuable asset to Nova BG Architecture Studio.
His professional experience includes:
Custom high-end kitchen design and interior renovations
Design work for high-rise residential developments throughout Manhattan
Rehabilitation of Old and New-Law Tenement buildings in historically underappreciated neighborhoods such as Harlem and Washington Heights during New York’s revitalization period in the mid-2000s
Post-Superstorm Sandy rebuilding efforts, collaborating with the NYC Department of Housing Preservation and Development to ensure the quality of architectural design and construction for hundreds of single-family homes across Queens, Brooklyn, and Staten Island
Over the years, Brian has served in multiple roles—including designer, expediter, consultant, and construction administrator—and is skilled in zoning and programming analysis for diverse project types and site locations.
As a licensed architect, Brian is committed to advocating for the client’s best interests, ensuring that every project is both legally feasible and aligned with the client’s goals. He takes pride in delivering thoughtful, practical, and high-quality design solutions to those who seek them.
Paula Catherina Fonseca
Paula joins Nova BG Architecture Studio with a wealth of talent and a unique set of skills in architectural design and visualization. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Architecture and Urban Design from CEUB – Central University of Brasília, and brings a strong technical and creative background to every project she undertakes.
Paula is highly proficient in rendering and visualization, and is a certified Revit user with expert-level skills in AutoCAD, Lumion, and SketchUp. Her expertise allows her to transform complex design concepts into visually compelling, photorealistic representations that help clients fully understand and experience their projects before construction begins.
Throughout her career, Paula has successfully delivered numerous international projects, with a particular focus on high-end outdoor spaces and landscape-integrated designs. Her work demonstrates an exceptional attention to detail, innovative use of materials, and the ability to blend functionality with aesthetic appeal.
In addition to her technical abilities, Paula brings a global design perspective, having collaborated with teams across multiple countries, understanding diverse architectural styles, building codes, and cultural contexts. She is passionate about creating spaces that are both beautiful and functional, and is dedicated to helping clients realize their vision with precision and creativity.
Paula’s combination of technical mastery, creative vision, and international experience makes her an invaluable member of the Nova BG Architecture Studio team, enhancing the firm’s ability to deliver exceptional, client-focused design solutions.

Vladimir Ayzenberg is a Mechanical and Plumbing Engineer with 38 years of experience providing MEP design services for a wide range of residential and commercial projects.
He has extensive expertise in HVAC system design, plumbing systems, and multidisciplinary coordination, supporting projects from early design through construction documentation.
Vladimir brings 25 years of leadership experience, having managed an MEP department of approximately 15 engineers within a large architectural organization. In this role, he oversaw quality control, technical standards, and team coordination to ensure the delivery of accurate, code-compliant engineering documents.
He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering from Latvian Technical University (1973–1978) and continues to be a key technical resource, assisting project teams with comprehensive HVAC design and mechanical/plumbing engineering support.
